Quick Answer
An on-page SEO grader checks the parts of a page that search engines read directly — title tag, meta description, headings, keyword placement, images, links, social tags, structured data, readability, and E-E-A-T signals like authorship and citations — and scores each one. Paste a page’s HTML (or drop an .html file) and this free tool runs every check in your browser with DOMParser, shows pass/warn/fail with the extracted values, and exports the report as Markdown or JSON. No account, no uploads.
How It Works
Paste the page’s full HTML source into the editor, or drop an .html file — it loads and parses in this tab only
Type a target keyword to unlock the seven keyword checks: title, meta description, H1, density, first 100 words, URL slug, and headings
Read the overall score and grade, then open any category to see each check’s status, the real extracted value, and a suggested fix
Fix failed checks first — they cost full weight, while warnings cost half
Export the finished report as Markdown or JSON, or copy it straight to your clipboard

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the scoring work?
Each of the 41 checks carries a weight from 1 to 3 based on how much it matters on-page: a pass earns its full weight, a warning earns half, and a failure earns zero. Category scores (title, meta, headings, and so on) are the weighted percentage for that group; the overall score is the same math across every unlocked check. Grades run from A+ (93+) down to F (below 50). Keyword checks are locked — and excluded from the math — until you type a target keyword.
What E-E-A-T signals does it check?
The on-page proxies search quality reviewers can actually see: a named author (byline, meta author tag, itemprop, or JSON-LD Person), publish and updated dates in any machine-readable form (meta tags, JSON-LD, or <time datetime>), outbound citations to reference-grade domains such as .edu, .gov, DOI links, and encyclopedias, contact and about paths, and Organization or publisher schema. These are honest on-page signals — the grader cannot measure Google’s off-page evaluation of expertise or reputation.
Is this SEO grader free?
Yes — every check, sample, and export is free with no account, limits, or watermarks. Audit-grade suites like Screpy gate continuous monitoring behind paid plans from about $12/month (with a free tier limited to one project); this tool instead runs a full single-page audit offline in your browser at any volume you like.
Is my HTML private?
Yes. The page is parsed with your browser’s built-in DOMParser and every check runs in the same tab — there are no network requests carrying your HTML. The source you paste and the keyword are saved only in this browser’s localStorage so the audit survives a refresh; Clear removes them, and you can use the tool offline after the page loads.
What input does the grader accept?
Paste the complete page source (View Source → copy) into the editor, or drop / browse an .html or .htm file up to 2 MB. Full source matters: head elements like the title, canonical, Open Graph tags, and JSON-LD only exist in the raw source, not in a rendered copy. The target keyword is optional — without it the seven keyword checks stay locked and the rest of the audit runs normally.
Can I export the audit report?
Yes, as Markdown or JSON. Both include the overall score and grade, the keyword, per-category scores, and every check with its status, the extracted value (for example the real title text or keyword density), and the suggested fix. Download the file or copy it to the clipboard — the JSON is a clean object you can diff in CI or feed another tool.
