Quick Answer

Klondike Solitaire is the classic patience card game: build the four foundations from ace to king by suit while arranging tableau columns in alternating colors. Our free version offers draw-1 and draw-3 modes, click-to-auto-move, drag and drop, unlimited undo, hints, auto-finish, and auto-save — all in your browser, instantly, with no sign-up.

How It Works

1

Pick Draw 1 or Draw 3, then click the stock to reveal cards into the waste

2

Build tableau piles down in alternating colors; only kings go on empty columns

3

Click a card to auto-move it, drag stacks between columns, or tap card-then-destination on touch

4

Move every card onto the four foundations A→K by suit — auto-finish appears once all cards are face-up

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you play Klondike Solitaire?

The goal is to move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, building each suit from ace up to king. On the seven tableau columns you build downward in alternating colors (a red 6 goes on a black 7), and only a king may occupy an empty column. Click the stock to deal new cards to the waste, and play the top waste card whenever it helps.

What is the difference between Draw 1 and Draw 3?

Draw 1 turns one stock card onto the waste at a time, so every dealt card is playable — an easier game. Draw 3 deals three at a time and only the top card is playable, which is the classic Windows-style challenge. Recycles are unlimited in both modes: when the stock runs out, click it again to flip the waste back over. Recycling costs 100 points in Draw 1 and 20 points in Draw 3.

How does scoring work?

Standard Klondike scoring: waste to tableau +5, any card to a foundation +10, flipping a hidden tableau card +5, foundation back to tableau −15, and recycling the stock −100 in Draw 1 or −20 in Draw 3. Your score never drops below zero.

What are the controls?

Click (or tap) any card to auto-move it to the best legal spot — foundations first. To play manually, drag a card or a face-up stack to its destination. On touch screens you can also tap a card to select it and then tap the pile you want to move it to. Click the stock to draw, and click it again when empty to recycle the waste.

Is my game saved if I close the page?

Yes. Your game state, timer, and score are saved to your device with localStorage after every move, and the game resumes exactly where you left off when you return. Everything is 100% client-side — no account, no server, no sign-up.
