Choose a format pair above, such as JPG to PNG or HEIC to JPG. Each page is a dedicated converter with the settings that matter for that pair.
Drag and drop, or click to browse. The file is processed by your own device — it is never uploaded to a server.
Fine-tune quality or dimensions where the pair supports it, then download the converted image. Free and unlimited.
Convert a whole folder one file at a time, or use the batch queue on pages that support it — everything stays on your device.
Photographs usually belong in JPG or WebP, where lossy compression keeps files small. PNG is the right choice when you need sharp edges, transparency, or lossless quality — screenshots, logos, and line art. WebP and AVIF deliver smaller files than both at similar visual quality, with broad (but not universal) support. HEIC is what iPhones shoot by default; converting to JPG makes those photos usable everywhere. TIFF stays uncompressed or losslessly compressed for scanning and print workflows, and SVG stores vector shapes that scale to any size without pixelating.
A quick rule of thumb: going from lossy to lossless (JPG to PNG) preserves what you have but does not restore detail already discarded; going lossless to lossy (PNG to JPG) trades a little fidelity for much smaller files. Pick the target format for where the image will be used, not the source format it came from.
