Venice AI with the qwen-edit model generally preserves likeness more faithfully because it edits the actual pixels of your reference photo. Mistral analyzes your photo with vision AI and generates a new portrait, which can drift further from your exact features.
Your photo is sent to the provider you pick (Mistral or Venice AI) and their privacy policy applies once it reaches their servers. I do not retain uploads or generated images on my own infrastructure. Generated headshots are saved only in your browser's localStorage.
A clear, well-lit, front-facing photo of one person. Good contrast between face and background helps. Avoid group photos, heavy filters, or photos where your face is turned far to the side.

Mistral allows 10 image generations per day per IP address. Venice AI is pay-per-generation via credits — a small Venice balance is enough for dozens of headshots.
