Quick Answer

The IQ test at practicalwebtools.com/other/iq-test serves 20 questions in 8 minutes: pattern sequences drawn as figures, number series, logic puzzles, vocabulary, and spatial odd-one-out rounds, ordered easy to hard from a 30-question bank. You get a score and a per-category breakdown, framed honestly as an entertainment estimate — not a clinical assessment. It retakes with a fresh question order and runs entirely in this browser tab.

How It Works

1

Choose "Start the test" — the 8-minute timer starts on your clock

2

Answer each of the 20 questions; they run easy to hard

3

Finish manually or let the timer auto-finish at zero

4

Read the score, category breakdown, and answer review — then retake with a new order

Key Facts

  • 20 questions under an 8-minute cap that auto-finishes at zero
  • Five rounds: pattern sequences, number series, logic, vocabulary, and spatial odd-one-out
  • Pattern and spatial questions are drawn as inline SVG figures — rotations, dot grids, mirror flips
  • Questions run easy to hard, seeded from a 30-question bank
  • Retake reshuffles the question and choice order from the same bank
  • Score plus a correct-by-category breakdown with a full answer review
  • Presented as an entertainment estimate — not a clinical assessment
  • Free, no sign-up, and nothing you answer leaves this browser tab

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a real IQ test?

No. This is an entertainment quiz, and the score is an entertainment estimate — not a clinical assessment. A real IQ test is administered and interpreted by a qualified psychologist under controlled conditions. This quiz borrows familiar puzzle formats — sequences, series, logic, vocabulary, spatial flips — for a fun, timed challenge, and it says so next to the score.

How is the score calculated?

Your raw count of correct answers is mapped through a fixed table: 10 of 20 correct maps to exactly 100 by construction, with steps widening toward the edges, giving a 70-140 range. It is a game scoring table, not a normed scale — no percentiles, no claims about the general population, and unanswered questions count as wrong rather than lucky guesses.

What happens when the 8 minutes run out?

The test finishes itself: the timer is compared against your device clock every quarter second, and the moment it hits zero your run is scored with whatever you have answered. Unanswered questions count as wrong. The clock is timestamp-based, so a throttled background tab or a sleeping laptop does not buy extra time.

Can I retake the test?

Yes. Retake with a new order rebuilds the quiz from the same 30-question bank with a fresh seed: it picks 4 questions per category again and reshuffles both the question order and the answer order. Since every seed produces a fixed order, two people sharing a seed see the identical quiz.

What do the five categories cover?

Pattern sequences show SVG figures and ask which comes next (rotations, alternating fills, growing dot counts). Number series ask for the next number. Logic is short deduction chains. Vocabulary asks for opposites and near-synonyms of common words. Spatial shows four letter figures where three are rotations and one is a mirror flip.

Is it free, and are my answers stored?

It is free with no sign-up. The quiz runs entirely in this browser tab — check the Network tab: no answers are transmitted while you play. There is no account and no storage; reloading the page starts a fresh run and nothing persists.
