Frequently Asked Questions
How do I extract pages from a PDF for free?
Upload the PDF, type the page numbers you want (1-based, as shown in your reader), and run. You get a new PDF containing exactly those pages. Because everything happens locally with pdf-lib, there is no size limit, no watermark, and no email required.
What is the syntax for page ranges?
Comma-separated single pages and ranges: 1-3,7,10-12 means pages one through three, page seven, and pages ten through twelve. Spaces are fine. Pages are 1-based (page 1 is the first page).
Can the extracted pages be in a different order?
Yes — the output follows your list order. Listing 5,1-3 puts page five first. To also delete pages, just extract the ones you want to keep.
How is this different from Split PDF?
Split cuts a PDF into many files at once (every page or fixed chunks). Extract pulls a selected subset into one new file. Use extract for "give me just chapter 2"; use split for "break this into individual pages".
