How do the difficulties differ?
The daily easy puzzle keeps 40 givens (pre-filled cells), medium keeps 32, and hard keeps 26. Fewer givens means more empty cells to deduce and longer solving chains. Every version is generated to have a unique solution.
What are pencil marks?
Pencil marks (candidate notes) let you track which digits a cell could still take. Double-tap a cell (or press P with a cell selected) to toggle pencil mode, then add numbers as small notes. They stay separate from your final answers.
How is the streak counted?
Finish any daily difficulty and your streak grows by one for that day; a missed day resets it. Best streak is kept. Streaks live in your browser's local storage — nothing is uploaded and there is no account.
Is the puzzle always solvable?
Yes — each daily grid is generated with a unique solution using the same engine as our unlimited sudoku game, so pure logic always finishes it without guessing.
